thunk has little interest in conventional surfboard design. The emphasis is on boards that are fast, maneuverable and fun. Through experimentation and refinement these boards have evolved into something unique.
With a shorter, wider and flatter template these boards allow the rider to go wherever their mind is willing to take them. The speed is obtained from the flatter rocker and more parallel plan shape. With the added width the boards are shorter and therefore fit into the wave curve much easier.
One could say they are a great addition to your quiver. But once you try one you may not want to ride anything else. Boards are custom made to suit the individual. Custom decals and artwork available on request. Want a speed machine. email thunk

Squid Fish:
This board is a little wider, shorter and possibly flatter than the average fish. With a wide nose and wide tail this board offers effortless speed. The bottom is flat with a Vee at the back of the tail assisting rail to rail maneuverability. Best ridden with keel fins for hold and drive.
-
Rocket Fish:
It has a slightly pulled in nose but otherwise very similar to the ‘Squid Fish’. The narrower nose sacrifices a bit of front foot drive, but assists a tighter turning arc. Can be ridden as a Twin fin or Quad.
-
Katvis:
This is a fish without the fish tail. The round tail makes for smoother turns, however not as loose. Still retains all the characteristics of a speed machine: shorter, wider and faster. Can be ridden with one or five fins and anything in between.
-
Dolphin:
Inspired by the small Atlantic dolphins. This board takes on their characteristics of speed and maneuverability. Short and stubby but built for speed. The deck spray is also influenced by dolphin markings. The dolphin tail can be ridden as a twinnie or a quad fin.

The Peg:
The Peg was originally designed as a finless, but rides better (or easier) with two small fins. This board is an experiment gone right. The tiny fins are supported by very sharp rails near the back of the board. They act as an extra set of fins when the rail is engaged. The lack of fin allows the rider to do slides and 360’s with ease. It will change the way you surf forever…
